Food for sustenance and thought at breakfast

The weekend ended with a trip to Dan’s Hamburgers for a dose of curly fries and a chocolate malt. Fries and malt were great but the air-conditioning was so low it was a relief to get back outside and feel the comforting blanket of a balmy Texas September night.

Monday began with a read of the New York Times Book Review at breakfast and an article on Naomi Wolf’s new book, “Vagina.”

Apparently the clitoris has 8,000 nerve endings crammed in there, outnumbering the penis by 100 percent, leading the reviewer to surmise, “No wonder the clitoris keeps getting lost, depending on the century, the religion and the man.”

I’m going to plead the 5th Amendment on that one. Have a good week.
