National Lampoon’s Summer Vacation (Jeffers-style)

Pushing north-westward took me to Yosemite National Park and some pretty decent scenery, to say the least, including the likes of North America’s tallest waterfall (dropping 2425ft in three tiers), the icon that is Half Dome rock, and the 7569ft-high mightily named El Capitan.

And then there were my fellow tourists–lots of them, with pot bellies, heaving bosoms, sweating foreheads, lithe teenage girls’ legs emanating from hot pants, tantrums being thrown by exhausted kids; humanity in all its multi-faceted glory:
